Seeded Loaf

Sunday brunch loomed and what we needed, in order to make it that extra bit special, was some freshly baked homemade bread. So, in order to show reverence to the renowned master bread maker, Paul Hollywood, I simply followed his white bread recipe as an initial guide. The one thing I changed, however, was the flour. I opted for Sainsbury's Linseed, Sunflower and Pumpkin Seed, Wholegrain Seeded Bread Flour. The rest of the recipe was adhered to. Overall, it was an easy, enjoyable process that not only provided us with a delicious, nutritious loaf but rewarded us with a kitchen that captured the air of a French boulangerie. We all need the love from fresh loaves in our lives, be it at breakfast, brunch or supper.

Home Baked Pizza

Mr WH makes pizza. Hurray! T'was delicious, nothing left, not even a few measly crumbs! What's his method? Of course, he'll share it with you, it would be really mean not to!

Ok, enough of these shop bought pizzas, I thought, Let’s go home made.

Using the finest ingredients, I follow, “sort of”, a recipe from Jamie Oliver, see above link.

Scaling it all down by an ⅛ as one pizza between us is now an ample meal. For the tomato sauce I used some of Mrs WH’s versatile tomato sauce above. For the topping I decided on red onion, garlic and mushrooms, along with a home grown spicy, hot chilli and a few slices of red and green bell pepper, also Hippie grown, crisp and fresh. Topped off with a couple of different cheeses, it were a reet treat.

Verdict: A winner! I just need to perfect the base, thus will be looking at purchasing a pizza stone that's not too cumbersome to get out of a hot oven.
