The Hatch and The Patch

As the seasons pass, we aim to capture a few images from our little garden community. Mimi, the mouse and her partner, Raymond, absolutely love the nuts and raisins we offer them but get most annoyed when Gobe the slug and his crew members get in the way. I have been known to send Mr WH out into the darkness to tell them to, "Go be somewhere else!" I, too, will get out of bed and venture out into the wind and rain, armed with a torchlight and a little temper, to move them on. We do have a sign that specifically states, 'No slugs!' But do they take any notice? No.

Come sunrise, the birds are ravenous and tuck into their suet pellets and seeds, whilst Bellamy the badger and his faithful friends, prefer the sundown plethora of fresh fruits and unsalted popcorn. Fez and Fiona, sometimes Fenella and Felicity too, visit throughout the day and can often be spotted standing amongst the sheep, hoping for titbits, as the birds swing from the feeder above.
